Over the semester I have learned many things one being to take risks. I fear often that if I take risks that I will fail. I was encouraged to take chances remember who I am and that God has a plan. I love this quote by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "We all search for happiness, and we all try to find our own 'happily ever after'...All you have to do is trust your Heavenly Father. Trust Him enough to follow his plan". I hope that I can do that, even when it doesn't have to do with business but in my life. I think I forget to take risks. I have learned in the past that if I don't do what is part of God's plan then he will remove me from my place and make it obvious as to what I need to do. I have also learned to think through things before I make choices. Sometimes we need to make a big choice quick but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't think through it and find out all the information you can. It will be better in the end if you ask. I am thankful for all the knowledge I have been able to partake of this semester and experiences I have reflected on. As I move on I hope to be able to apply what I have learned to my life. My last bit of advice to someone wanting to begin the entrepreneur journey would be to do just that, take risks, as long as you have thought it through. Do not fear. Just like  Franklin D. Roosevelt said in his First Inaugural Address,  the" only thing we have to fear is fear itself". We should also take in to account God's plan.  Always include God in your life, because he wants to help you and guide you. In Isaiah 58:11 we learn that where god guides us he will provide for us. We must trust him in what he tells us. Do so with out hesitation and do all that you can to work hard and he will do the rest. I know that in every aspect of our lives, if we are doing all that we can God will do the rest. Lastly I want to say that we don't always see the big picture. I know that in my life my family has gone through troubles that seemed devastating. They were but I would do it again because of the positive change it had on me and my family. Events took place that couldn't have happened with out it. Remember that you are essential to God's plan and that you can do anything. "For with God nothing shall be impossible." (Luke 1:37)

Do what makes you happy.

This week what I got out of the readings was to do what makes me happy. I was intrigued by the amount of people talking about doing what you love and not doing a job that will make you unhappy even if you think it will only be for a little while. I think I often in the past have done things just for the money. I know that even if you hate the job but love the people you work with that it helps a lot. But I also think you need to like the company you work for as well. Right now I work as a personal assistant for my aunt. She tends to have me do the work she doesn't like to do. But I enjoy working for her and I like the kids most days. But I think a parent feels that way too. I just get paid for it. I don't mind shipping packages which is also what I do. And normally I love cooking. This week specifically has been hard because we are moving and my aunt and her husband are at Disney World right now. She left me with the kids and lots of moving. This week the reading, Leadership with a Small "L" by President Kim B. Clark was what stood out to me. I have a joke with my friends that lists make everything 85% more convincing. Because one, it gives people things to look at visually, two it gives them an order in which to accomplish things, and three you took the time to listen to me list off these three things and I seam suddenly more convincing. This quote from Kim B. Clark's talk teaches us to be like Christ but I think we need to be like him by preaching his gospel.  But in all seriousness, I really enjoyed the three principals of Lead by Example, Lead with Vision, and  Lead with Love. Leadership can be vital in the world today and as members of the church we are called to lead the world as examples. We are called to lead through His vision we must make it our own, we must understand that God has a plan for us, that doesn't mean we get it but we know it is there and we trust it. Dont give up

Something on my mind a lot this week was to not to give up. I thought a lot about how my interview went and how I am much like the person I interviewed, we both want to be inspirational soeakers and how when I told her that she kinda laughed sadly and said me too and I'm 53. It was sad that I  saw this woman as someone who was successful and yet she didnt feel like she was doing all she could. I want to be able to say whatever I do is me reaching my potential and that I am happy! These two quotes helped me as I thought about that this week.
